Submitting an Amazon FBA Bulk Order with ODF

Submitting an Amazon FBA Bulk Order with ODF

Important Disclaimer

The information in this guide has been collected based on ODF’s experience assisting clients with Amazon FBA bulk orders.

ODF does not have access to Amazon Seller Central and does not have visibility into Amazon’s full FBA shipment creation workflow. If you have questions or technical issues related to Amazon’s system, Seller Central steps, or Amazon-specific requirements, please contact Amazon Seller Support directly.

What Is an Amazon FBA Order?

Amazon FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) is a bulk order type where clients typically send inventory to Amazon fulfillment centers in order to receive seller benefits such as Amazon Prime shipping and participation in Prime Day deals, promotions, and other Amazon-led sales events.

This is different from FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant) orders, which are fulfilled daily by ODF with your Amazon integration to our shipping software using standard shipping methods (USPS, standard domestic shipping, or UPS Mail Innovations for international shipments).

Info
This guide applies only to Amazon FBA bulk orders.

Important FBA Requirements to Know

  • Amazon FBA orders require inventory review and approval by the ODF Team to confirm availability before processing

  • Amazon may split your order into multiple shipments based on unit quantities and shipment weights

    • Each Amazon fulfillment center has its own requirements

  • ODF does not control or manage Amazon warehouse rules
Clients must confirm all Amazon-specific requirements directly with Amazon Seller Support

Confirm Unit Availability Before Creating Amazon Labels

Before generating or creating any labels in Amazon, clients must confirm unit availability for their selected products.

To begin, clients should contact the ODF Support Team to request an inventory check and availability review.

How to Contact ODF

Email: support@ondemandfulfillment.com

Please include:

  • Confirmation this is an Amazon FBA bulk order

  • ODF SKU(s)

  • Total units per SKU

Example:

SKU 12345-123 – Total Units: 1,000
SKU 12346-501 – Total Units: 1,500

Inventory Review, Approval & Invoicing

Once your request is received:

  • The ODF Support Team will forward your request to our Purchasing Team for inventory availability review and approval

  • Because our program specializes in and prioritizes daily fulfillment shipments, this inventory review is required for all FBA bulk orders

If the requested units are not available at the time of your request, ODF can:

  • Place units on order and provide an estimated time of arrival (ETA), if you would like to wait

  • Adjust the total number of units requested

  • Remove unavailable products from the bulk order request
Clients should communicate their preferred option directly to the support agent assisting with the request.

Invoice Requirement

Once inventory is approved:
  • ODF will issue an invoice for the FBA bulk order

  • The invoice must be paid in full before the order can be processed or submitted to the warehouse

Shipment Details Provided by ODF

After invoice payment and inventory approval, the ODF Support Team will provide the shipment details needed to create your Amazon shipment, as shown in the screenshot below, including:

  • Box weights

  • Box dimensions

  • Product expiration dates

  • Total bottles per box

This information must be entered into Amazon Seller Central to generate the following:

  1. Amazon FBA Carton Labels
  2. Amazon FBA Shipping Labels

Creating the Shipment in Amazon Seller Central

When creating your shipment in Amazon:

  1. Enter the box weights and dimensions provided by ODF

  2. Under Step 2 – Shipment Options

    1. Select Carrier Pickup

    2. Select UPS

  3. Complete additional steps as prompted by Amazon

Pickup Time Selection

  • If no time is required, do not select one

  • If prompted, select 1:00–2:00 PM

ODF has regular UPS carrier pickups Monday–Friday, as UPS is also used for international shipments.

FBA Shipping Label Requirements (SKU Field)

On the Amazon FBA Shipping Labels:

  • The ODF SKU must be added under the SKU field

  • Amazon will typically default this field to the Amazon-assigned ASIN

  • Clients must replace the ASIN with the ODF SKU, which will typically be in the highlighted yellow sections shown in the screenshot below

This allows the warehouse team to:

  • Identify which products need to be printed

  • Match products correctly to each shipment and warehouse

This step is especially important when shipments are split across multiple Amazon fulfillment centers.

Warning
Please keep in mind incorrect, incomplete, or mixed files may cause delays

Barcoding Requirements (FNSKU Stickers)

If your products require Amazon FNSKU barcodes:

  • ODF can apply barcode stickers for $0.20 per bottle

  • Barcode files must be separated by individual product

  • Do not submit combined barcode sheets with multiple products

Separating barcode sheets by product helps prevent accidental barcode application to the incorrect bottle, especially when SKU identifiers are not listed on the barcode file.

Submitting Labels & Files to ODF

Once ready, clients must email the following to support@ondemandfulfillment.com:

  • Amazon FBA Shipping Labels

  • Amazon FBA Carton Labels

  • Barcode files (if applicable)

The ODF Support Team will submit these files to the warehouse for processing along with the paid invoice.
