New Amazon FBA Requirement: One-Week Delivery Window (Effective September)

New Amazon FBA Requirement: One-Week Delivery Window (Effective September)

Amazon has announced a change to how delivery windows must be scheduled for all inbound FBA shipments, both domestic and international, effective September 2025. This update affects sellers and service providers who create and manage FBA shipment plans — including those submitting bulk FBA orders through our service.

Here’s everything you need to know about the change, how it affects your bulk orders, and how to prepare:

What's Changing?

Previously, when creating an FBA shipment, sellers could select a specific delivery date for when the shipment would arrive at an Amazon fulfillment center.

Starting in September 2025, Amazon will require all FBA shipments to include a calendar week delivery window — defined as Sunday through Saturday — rather than a single delivery date.

How This Affects Your Bulk Orders with Us

If you submit a bulk FBA order through our service, this new requirement changes when and how you should select your delivery window during the shipment creation process.

You’ll now need to provide a delivery window (Sunday–Saturday) based on our processing timeline and order volume.

Processing Time Guidelines

We process bulk orders within 1–5 business days after the order has been submitted to our team, following inventory approval and invoice payment from the client. Processing time depends on the size and complexity of the order:

  • Small Orders (~50 units):
Estimated processing time: 1–3 business days

  • Large Orders (~1,000 units or more):
Estimated processing time: Up to 5 business days

AlertNote: We do not process FBA bulk orders on Mondays, so please avoid selecting delivery windows that start on a Monday.

Example Scenario

Let’s say your 1,000-unit FBA bulk order is:

  • Paid, approved and submitted: Tuesday, September 2

  • Based on volume, we recommend selecting a delivery window starting no earlier than:
    Sunday, September 7 – Saturday, September 13

This allows us adequate time to receive, process, and prepare your orders before it is delivered to Amazon.

Tips for Choosing Your Delivery Window

  • Plan ahead based on your order volume.

  • Avoid Monday as the start of your delivery window.

  • Choose a window that begins 2–5 business days after your order is approved and paid.

  • Be realistic about processing time, especially for larger or complex shipments.

Not Sure What Window to Choose?

  • If you're unsure how to select the correct delivery window within Amazon's shipment creation process, we recommend contacting Amazon Seller Support for guidance on their requirements.
