Amazon Dietary Supplement Verification Update (2026)

Amazon Dietary Supplement Verification Update (2026)

Amazon Dietary Supplement Verification Update (2026)

Amazon recently introduced new verification requirements for dietary supplements sold on its platform. These updates primarily affect third-party testing documentation and Certificates of Analysis (COAs) that sellers must provide in order to keep their products active on Amazon.

While this change has created confusion for many supplement brands, we want to clarify what it means for ODF clients and VOX-manufactured products.

Current Manufacturing Compliance

All products manufactured by VOX Nutrition already meet the required cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards for dietary supplement manufacturing.

cGMP certification ensures that products are:

  • Manufactured in compliant facilities

  • Produced under regulated quality standards

  • Supported by testing and documentation requirements required by federal regulations

The existing COAs and third-party testing currently provided by VOX meet cGMP requirements and remain fully compliant from a manufacturing and regulatory standpoint.

However, Amazon has recently introduced additional requirements that go beyond standard cGMP certification.

What Amazon Has Changed

Amazon now requires that certain dietary supplement documentation and testing be completed or validated through an approved TIC partner.

TIC stands for:

Testing, Inspection, and Certification

Under Amazon’s updated policy:

  • Sellers must work with an Amazon-approved TIC provider

  • TIC providers must submit documentation directly to Amazon

  • Existing COAs may need to be validated or replaced depending on Amazon’s requirements

In many cases, Amazon’s verification process involves full panel testing, which is more extensive than standard cGMP testing and typically results in higher costs.

Alert
It is important to note that this additional testing is not required for VOX’s manufacturing certifications. This requirement is specific to Amazon’s recent marketplace compliance policies.

Common Notification Sellers Are Receiving

Many sellers are receiving notifications in Seller Central related to:

“Dietary Supplements GMP Certification: Food and Product Safety Issues.”

When this occurs, Amazon typically assigns a (TR) associated with a specific ASIN.

This notification means that the seller must:

  • Review existing testing documentation or

  • Complete new testing through an Amazon-approved TIC provider

Amazon-Approved TIC Providers

As of January 2026, Amazon lists several approved TIC providers for dietary supplements in the United States, including:

  • Certified Laboratories

  • Eurofins

  • Intertek (ITS)

  • Mérieux NutriSciences

  • NSF

  • SGS

  • UL (Underwriters Laboratories)

If testing was completed through another laboratory, Amazon may require those results to be validated by one of these approved providers, which can add additional cost.

What Sellers Typically Need To Do

If your product is flagged by Amazon, you will generally need to:

  1. Select an approved TIC provider through Seller Central.

  2. Submit a Test Request Form (TRF) through your Account Health dashboard.

  3. Provide the TIC provider with product samples or existing documentation.

  4. Work directly with the TIC provider while they complete testing or validation.

  5. The TIC provider will submit the results directly to Amazon on your behalf.

Amazon may also require additional testing or verification at any time.

Support From ODF

ODF and VOX Nutrition understand that this policy update has created additional complexity for supplement brands selling on Amazon. At this time, ODF does not yet have a finalized internal process for coordinating TIC testing or verification requests related to Amazon’s new policy. Our team is actively reviewing options with our partners to determine how we may be able to assist clients more efficiently in the future.

If you are currently working with a TIC provider or completing an NSF or other Amazon verification process and need manufacturer contact information or documentation related to VOX Nutrition, please contact our support team. Our team can help coordinate the appropriate information from the manufacturer when required.
